Stepping out of IT after 8 years and the good things about it
After my last day in IT career, I felt so refreshing. Finally I had all the time for myself and could choose how I want to spend it. Now, I spend my time being more physically active throughout the day, going for regular walks, spending more time with my loved ones and being able to give some time to my hobbies as well. I eat right kind of food, have my meals on time and do not hog as soon as I see food, since my meal intervals are precise now. I also try new recipes and keep my space around cleaner. I spend time arranging for pooja during festivities with my family. With all this I have a lot of mental peace; no meetings, no ratings, no high expectations, no doing that extra innovation thing apart from delivery, nobody to judge me, no guilt that I left more of household work for my parents to do for me, etc, etc. After all money is not everything but peace of mind and a healthy lifestyle keeps you going a long way!
